Compelled by the rate you mentioned even though John insists my money is better put into more real estate than in a savings account, I too signed up for Emigrant from my existing Wachovia account. Doesn't seem too painful so far--my main concern is regarding how complicated it'll be to transfer money back into my Wachovia checking as-needed from the new savings account, since that's where I plan to let my money sleep when it's resting.
