Mapping Gas Station Locations and Prices

by Flexo on May 18, 2005

gasmap.jpgCheap Gas is a marriage between Google Maps and Gasbuddy, the database of gas prices by city. If you select a city from the list available on Cheap Gas, you will be provided with a map with the station locations highlighted.

The city choices should be sufficient for most people, but many stations aren’t listed. It is still interesting to see how the prices are mapped; by viewing the entire state of New Jersey, you can clearly see the cheapest gasoline in the New York and Philadelphia metropolitan areas, but interestingly there are a few locations along the shore that make the cut.

Also: Take a look at jp’s suggestions for budgeting for variable gas expenses.
