Downtime, Flight Time

Sorry for the downtime Consumerism Commentary readers experienced earlier today. My web service provider was having some router problems, but everything seems to be fixed… for the moment, anyway. We weren’t the only ones with computer issues; the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) had to suspend trading for some time earlier today because of a glitch. I smell a conspiracy.
I’ll be flying to California tomorrow to visit my family for the holidays. This will be my first time travling on jetBlue Airlines. They had the best price from New York (JFK) to southern California (LGB) for the range of dates and times I could fly, $215 after taxes. Apparently they offer television on these flights but I’ll probably opt to finish reading The Number and listen to some of the great music I’ll be bringing along.
