My husband & I (recently retired) actually looked into full-time RVing. Found lots of costs no one seems to talk much about - nightly fees at parks, laundramats, difficulty in driving in strong winds, the cost of gas, the many restrictions at the nicer parks such as no RV over 10 years old, the length of the unit, how many pull-outs, etc. Decided to stay in FL and will travel from there.

I'm thinking Mexico is a good, viable alternative. Lots of sun, inexpensive, lots of sun, no moving around an RV has, lots of sun, beaches, lots of sun...

As comfortable as an RV could be, nothing beats a nice bed with a solid roof over your head. :)
