Emigrant Direct Interest Rate Moves Up

by Flexo on March 15, 2006

in Banking, Saving

Here’s a quick note to mention that Emigrant Direct increased the interst rate offered on its no-minimum savings account to 4.5% annual yield. More rates are listed here. I don’t participate in extreme rate-hunting. My savings is split between Emigrant Direct and ING Direct, who have both been slow in competing with HSBC Direct and GMAC Bank.

If ING doesn’t make a significant move by the time their Winter Save Up special is over, I think I might go shopping with my savings account to other banks.
