Changes Come In Threes

Changes Come In TreesYesterday, I made it official: I gave notice to my “community manager” to inform her that I will be moving out of my apartment by June 30. The sixty-day notice is required by my lease, as I was reminded this morning when the manager called me to inform me I would be responsible for an additional 30 days. It seems she didn’t realize that April 30 is two months away from June 30, not one. Don’t worry, I reintroduced her to the calendar we’ve been using for the last few centuries.

In any case, I must now start the search for a new apartment. My girlfriend and I have been talking about living together. She works in Queens and I work in (sort of) North Jersey, and splitting the difference would put us in the middle of Staten Island.

Finding a place in Staten Island I can afford and like will be an issue. This will be an interesting challenge to overcome during the next two months.

Any chance you may spring into the homeowners market? Good luck!

I don’t see that happening yet.
