Here are some news items that struck my interest today.

Profit Motive to Cost Credit Counselors Tax-Exempt Status from the Washington Post. They won’t release the names of the companies losing their non-profit status yet, so beware of all companies that promise they exist to help you.

Five months of networking, still no new job from CNN Money. Network is helpful, but finding the right job can still take time, even for executives.

Mad market for used fuel-sippers also from CNN Money. A 2005 Toyota Prius with 20,000 miles sells more than $4,000 than its original sticker price.

Good debt versus bad debt from Bankrate. Good debt creates value, and examples are student loans, real estate loans, mortgages and business loans. Bad debt covers dispoable items and durable goods, and examples are credit card debt and auto loans. David Bach, the author of The Automatic Millionaire Homeowner, is quoted extensively in the article.

By the way, David Bach has an official blog now.
