I haven’t had time to write lately, but here are some news articles that caught my eye in the last few days.

Hedge your portfolio against inflation, which is trucking along at 3.5%.

Here are the 100 fastest growing tech companies. I like Red Hat and SanDisk in the top five.

How about a living wage at $9 an hour rather than a minimum wage? Obvisouly companies, especially retailers, wouldn’t be happy with the proposed change. It could encourage more hiring of undocumented workers.

Outward appearance and style play important roles in getting a job. Here’s an article I’ll expand upon at some point. There are a few great suggestions.

On the topic of working, here are the top ten job myths from Forbes. Think you need an MBA to get rich? (I don’t believe most people actually think that.) Think again.

Thanks for reposting that outward appearance article. It’s why I code alone in a cube. I’m all about the wrinkly, non-dry-clean clothes. I must look a fright as Frumperella. ;-)
