I had something weird happen to be recently as well. Someone hacked my files and added pointer to their site on each of my pages. I found out when I went to my site and got a message saying another site was trying to set a cookie. Might I suggest Password Safe for storing/creating passwords. It allows you to create totally random passwords. I use it all of the time now that I have started to create unique passwords for every (important) site that I use.
