The Carnival is Up!

KMull is hosting the latest Carnival of Personal Finance at his blog. As always, there are lots of great articles this week. The host did a good job of highlighting some of the more interesting blog posts including Sasha’s 5 Romantic Outdoor Day Date Ideas Under $30, but there are a number of others that should not be overlooked.

A Penny Closer says the costs of a new home amount to more than just the mortgage. That’s right along the lines of The Cost of Buying a Home Over 30 Years.

No Credit Needed wants to make time to manage your finances. I’ve made time for that, and now I have to work on making time to spend with my girlfriend and making time to spend on keeping myself in physical shape.

Emotionless Investing is the only way to keep yourself from making poor mistakes, as Growing Money writes. You don’t want to suddenly get nervous due to a drop in the stock market and liquidate while all your stocks are temporarily down.

If you’re a blogger, there is still time to sign up to host the Carnival of Personal Finance before the end of the year. We’re taking hosting applications for another few weeks.

Thanks for the mention, Flexo! I really appreciate it!

Your article on the cost of home ownership over 30 years is interesting and a bit sobering.
