I spend cash and am not "horribly inconvenienced by ATMs or I’d be carrying around an uncomfortable amount of cash". I get cash once a week ($240-300 a week) and spend most of it that day running errands and spending most of it. I never over spend. When it's gone. I'm done. I have done this for 12 years and have never been robbed.

The best thing is giving. Case in point: a coworker's son was very sick. Her husband was a contractor who worked out of town and had no paid time off. We took up money to pay their bills and I was able to chip in $100. No big deal, it was "left over" from the previous week. I did not have to look over my accounts. How fun is that!
