Thomas: You can apply for any business card as an individual. Your business name is your real name and you don't need to enter a business tax ID number. The IRS recognized any individual as a sole proprietor with their SSN as their business Tax ID number if necessary.

Pete: With many new credit cards, merchants are required to shoulder more of the fees.

Its important to keep in mind that all credit cards will have fees and that if an offer sounds too good to be true it probably is, no matter what bank it comes from. There's always a lot of small print - I know because I've done some work with the Merchants Payments Coalition - and its always important to read through it all. All cards get hit with interchange fees on your purchase that don't even show up on your bill and are especially hard on small businesses. Its important to keep all of this in mind when making these decisions.
