Weekly Blog Roundup, Standing On Line Edition

I accompanied A. to a Scholastic Book Fair at one of their warehouses yesterday to find books for her fourth-grade class. Scholastic relies on volunteers to make these warehouse sales successful, and it looked like they were having a hard time this weekend. Once she found everything she needed, we stood on line for two and a half hours.

She is also planning to attend two more Scholastic warehouse sales next weekend. While I prepare this week for more long lines, here are some recent articles from the MoneyBlogNetwork and beyond.

Thanks for the link Flexo! I used to love Scholastic Books as a kid. They were so cheap, we’d order a bunch at a time. Ah, elementary school, those were the days:)

I have been to one of those book fairs. They always take forever and I hope to never have to go back. It’s ridiculous!!

I’ve been to other Scholastic warehouse book fairs, but the one this past weekend was by far the most crowded and tedious.

I remember reading Scholastic Books when I was a kid! I read anything I could get my hands on. I don’t remember going to any book fairs like this, but I’m sure my parents wouldn’t have liked taking me – I would have wanted to see all of the books.

    Thanks for the mention!

Very, very, very belated thanks for the link. I’ve since moved the blog and that’s why I haven’t noticed your link until now, but I’m truly grateful for the notice! :)
