This weekend I visited Manhattan with a friend to avail myself of a fancy, bargain-priced Restaurant Week lunch. If you consider a $24.07 lunch a bargain, that is. It is three courses, and generally tasty ones at that.
Anyway, during my visit, I spied the following offer posted in a subway car:
If you have a Chase credit or debit card and enroll it via the Chase.com Commuter Cash website, you will earn $10 for every $150 you spend at MetroCard Vending Machines and on NYC Yellow Cab fares from January 1 to March 31, 2008.
The site indicates that claiming your reward is very easy:
Your cash back reward will be automatically deposited into the primary Chase checking account associated with the registered debit card or credited to the registered credit card statement 6–8 weeks after the end of the promotion.
It’s not a long-lived deal, unfortunately, but anyone living or working in NYC can probably save some money with this. I happen to have a Chase card, and found that enrollment was as easy as entering my credit card number twice.
If nothing else, it’s a good excuse to take the subway instead of braving the frigid winter weather.
