Here are several articles I’ve enjoyed this past week.

What Do You Splurge On? My answer, as given in this article at Get Rich Slowly, is my preference for dining out with co-workers for lunch every day.

Making Your Own Laundry Detergent: A Detailed Visual Guide. When I asked if frugality necessitates missing out on life, Trent from The Simple Dollar mentioned he makes his own laundry detergent. In this article, Trent provides a detailed process for this frugal approach.

Why You Won’t Read a SmartyPig Review Today. Recently, I gave away a $100 gift card for SmartyPig, a goal-oriented savings bank. Lazy Man had a hard time opening his account. Interestingly, the co-founder chimed in to let us know that soon customers will be able to redeem their savings from the account in the form of a check rather than a store gift card.

The Best Time to Start is Now.
