I follow debtkid as well but did not know that detailed background story. It sounds like a movie storyline. He is right though. I have barely invested to as well, but the thought of gaining quick cash to impress friends, girls sounds great as well. I've been in some online sports pools because of it. I don't really know much about investing and stocks and bonds, so for me I look at that as the same gamble as me going to a casino. I agree with you that you should think more long term with investments and do the proper homework before putting valuable money down. Good guest post.
