Congrats everyone!
I’m very impressed with all, and most impressed with Frugal Zeitgeist’s win!
Good job putting this together. For next year, I’m wondering how we can make the award subscriber/reader independent in different categories? I literally got 80% of the selections right based on my prediction that those with the most readers/subscribers would win.
For example, Get Rich Slowly will probably win 90% of the time in ANY category you choose.
Congrats on your podcast win. I truly think it’s the best.
Cheers,
Sam
We could have a select group of individuals choose the winners. It’s a question of The Academy Awards (select group comprised of members chooses winners) vs. The People’s Choice Awards (everyone gets a vote). That would also avoid PR firms “stuffing” the ballot — you wouldn’t believe which product had hundreds of votes from the same IP address… (Multiple votes from the same IP address were eliminated.) We’ll see.
That’s a good idea! We can have two sets of winners (if different) using the Academy Awards system or independent groups as well. I’m impressed some folks stuffed the ballots well. I have to imagine it must be the business/product categories. At least that shows they took your awards thing seriously!
Woohoo! Thanks, everyone!
Thanks so much for putting this together Flexo, it’s always fun getting to vote for our faves out there :)
