One lucky guy is getting paid $100,000 for one year to be the Vice President of the “Dukes of Hazzard Institute.” This position was created as a contest by Country Music Television to hype The Dukes of Hazzard television show on the Internet.
Here’s the original “job posting.” Basically, the job’s responsibilities include watching reruns of the program, aired on Country Music Television every night.
After a tough, competitive job search, Christopher Nelson won over the producers by creating a fictional character, “Slick,” and promoting him.
It doesn’t sound like a bad gig for a year. Getting paid that much for writing online is any blogger’s fantasy, I’m sure.
