Last week, I asked for opinions on what a circle of friends might do for the holidays with respect to gift giving. Some of the suggestions were to try a Secret Santa or white elephant exchange. Thanks to everyone who shared a thought or two!
The decision has been made by the organizer of our friendly get-together to forgo any gift exchange, as the entire group couldn’t agree on one solution and no single option would make everyone happy. This works out well, as it’ll allow me to save a few bucks, but it would have been nice to receive some things off my Amazon wish list (argh, there’s my real name again), some of which have been sitting there for five years. I suppose I didn’t want the items that badly.
Regardless, it will be nice to see the group. I haven’t been around much in the last few months.
