From all of us here at Consumerism Commentary (that is, me) to all who celebrate Thanksgiving today, have a happy holiday! I’ve been in California with my family for the last few days, and I’m thankful I have the means to travel to see them twice a year. Regular posting will return next week after I return to the east coast, where the weather seems to be not so wonderful according to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day reports on the news this morning.
Thinking and writing about finances is nice to do, but on holidays like today it’s wonderful to remember that we should be thankful for the time and place we happened to be born, considering it is just as likely the life we experience may be one in another slice of history. We only have 80 years or so to enjoy this luck, destiny, or fortune — however you interpret your life — so let’s make the most of it.

Happy Thanksgiving,
The best way to build our financial foundation is to be very thankful for what we already have.
I believe that’s the Buffet Way!
Best,
