If You Like Calculators, You’ll Love This

This article was written by in Personal Finance. 26 comments.

little-professor.jpgWhen I was a little kid, I had this relatively large, yellow calculator. I had no idea what it was called until I did a little Internet research yesterday. I matched photographs until one jogged my memory: the Little Professor Calculator (more info). Not only could it perform the basic arithmetic functions (I think), but it could test you with increasing levels of difficulty. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon before Nintendo, I suppose.

Well, if you get a kick out of calculators, you should love the mother of all financial calculator websites, hidden away at the Motley Fool. If the Motley Fool is the mother, then you could consider DinkyTown the great grand-daddy.

I didn’t know anyone else who had one. If they did, they never admitted it to me.

I had one of these as well, in fact, I’m pretty sure it is still at my parent’s house. How much can I get for it on EBay?

That’s really a cute calculator, though I never had one like that.

Ha! I remember this. One of my friends had one and I was really jealous. Then that Christmas my parents gave me a similar one that sort of looked like a space age robot. I forget what it was called…
