A few months ago, I noted people are looking to get rid of the penny. Pennies cost more to make than they’re worth and price inflation has rendered them mostly pointless.
However, Mr. Britney Spears, also known as Kevin Federline, has come out in favor of keeping the penny. Normally, no one would care, but he seems to be controlled remotely by cellphone company Virgin Mobile. They are using “K-Fed” to promote the company’s new text message promotion in which the feature costs customers a penny per message.
Kevin was one of the first to sign a petition in favor of the penny. Perhaps he’s just worried that if the penny no longer exists, when Britney eventually divorces him, he won’t have anything left.
I’m allowed to be cruel to “celebrities,” right? By the way, the included picture is Britney Spears, before and after.
