Sidenote: I’m testing out AdBrite on Consumerism Commentary. You can now buy text ads directly for display on this website rather than going through Google Adsense. I’ve set the price really low for advertisers: $1.50 per day* with no minimum. Try it out, it can’t hurt. \* This rate will last until sometime on Tuesday, ... Continue reading this article…

Besides getting some schoolwork done for my class, I went to New York on Saturday to see a Mets game with my girlfriend. For this, I incurred gas, tolls, and the price ... Busy

by Luke Landes

I apologize for the relative silence. I’ve been busy setting up two new blogs for people who contacted me asking to host for them, in addition to a new brand identity for some of the other random things I do online. This is, of course, on top of work and classwork.

I’ll update throughout the day as I find more interesting articles. * Jeanne Sahadi discovers three individuals’ definitions of rich. * You’re never too old to be an inventive entrepreneur. By “inventive,” I mean “illegal.” Seems the 80-year old was the madam ... Continue reading this article…

Green Zapped

by Luke Landes

A while back, I opened an account with GreenZap, a supposed alternative to PayPal. At the time, they were offering a nice referral deal: spread the word and get $25 or something. Some were quick to refer others, but I didn’t want to recommend a service that had yet to be proven. JP at MyMoneyBlog ... Continue reading this article…
