Peek Into Supreme Court Nominee’s Portfolio

This article was written by in Investing. 4 comments.

Slate has an interesting article on Supreme Court nominee John Roberts’ portfolio. Can you tell an individual by his or her investments?

Most of the article talks about Roberts’ stock holdings (Coca Cola [KO], AT&T [T], XM [XMSR]), but it also mentions that his bank accounts amount for the largest portion of his holdings, between $1 million and $2 million.

Bottom line? Roberts the investor is smart and conservative but, like most of us, prone to following the herd.

Just wanted to mention Alan Greenspan’s allocation: 100% U.S. Treasuries. I’d rather own those than keep $2 million in the bank. Why would you want four different money market funds? They’re all the same.
