To wrap up my latest vehicle-related saga, I picked up my car yesterday. The repairs took almost two weeks, but the shop did an excellent job. The suggestions from readers helped (thanks!) as I inspected the car before paying the bill. I took the car for a test spin to make sure there were no evident problems. Everything works properly and the paint matches perfectly. It was $500 I would have rather not spent, but I’m glad the situation is over.

$500 isn’t that bad if you think about how much a car repair can cost. I dropped just over $1000 for maintenance and the front suspension a couple weeks ago.
I swear having a car is almost not worth the continuous cost.
