Saw Amboy pushed its rate to 5.25% today as well … good to see savings rates still moving up.
I haven’t heard too much about UFB in the online bank discussions. I was looking it over and it seems to have really good features except for the lack of ability to initiate ach transfers to outside accounts.
I have a savings account with UFB and can make transfers to and from UFB Direct and my local checking account. The transfers are made from my local bank. However, my bank charges a small fee to transfer into UFB, but no fee is charge to withdraw from UFB. To avoid deposit fees, I send a check to UFB with their prepaid envelope, and when I want to withdraw from UFB, I do it on line through my local bank for free.
