Second Week of Giveaways: Two $50 Amazon Gift Cards

This article was written by in Giveaways. 6 comments.

Today starts the second week of giveaways at Consumerism Commentary. This month is Giveaway May, and I have at least $50 to give away to readers every weekday this month. Today’s giveaway partner is Wealth Informatics. Suba, the owner of Wealth Informatics, is offering a $50 Amazon.com Gift Card to match my $50 Amazon.com Gift Card, for a total of $100 to the winner.

For today’s giveaway, we’re turning to RSS feeds again. RSS is the perfect way to keep up-to-date with your favorite websites. I use Google Reader and Flipboard on the iPad to read new articles from a selection of blogs and other sites, and the RSS feed is the technology that makes this work.

Here is what you need to do to win.

  1. Subscribe to the Consumerism Commentary RSS feed using your favorite RSS reader. You can use these buttons to add Consumerism Commentary directly into your favorite software, and if you’re already a subscriber, you can skip this step.
  2. Subscribe to the Wealth Informatics RSS feed using your favorite RSS reader. You can use these buttons, and if you’re already a subscriber, you can skip this step.
  3. Look for the phrases of the day at the end (or at the beginning) of the latest articles in your RSS reader. There will be one phrase from Consumerism Commentary and a different phrase from Wealth Informatics.
  4. Email both phrases of the day to may9@consumerismcommentary.com by 10:00 PM Eastern Time tonight, May 9, 2011.

I will select one winner randomly from the emails I receive with the correct phrases of the day. Within the next few days, I will contact the winner to confirm he or she is eligible to receive the gifts. Don’t fret if you weren’t able to complete the challenge by 10:00 PM; there is a new giveaway every weekday.

Gotcha. Was confused by Step #3:

“Look for the phrases of the day at the end of the latest articles in your RSS reader.”
