I made sure to vote by absentee ballot since I would be out of town. Plus it seems like it's the safest bet when even early voting has long lines.

KC, just to let you know, you do not have a right to vote in a Presidential election. Each state decides how it's electors are chosen. If it gives the general public the opportunity to vote for those electors, the Constitution says that the state cannot discriminate against specific individuals. It though, does not give you the right to vote for President.

You have no reason not to vote today especially when companies are offering free food and services for voting. These are added incentives for people to go out and vote.

Dan: Since it's illegal to offer incentives for voting, Starbucks has amended their offer to apply to anyone regardless of voting status. Free coffee for everyone today! Krispy Kreme is also offering free doughnuts. Mighty Bargain Hunter has a list of election-inspired food-related offers.

I voted 2 weeks ago and I had to wait in line then. The lines will be longer today, but its your right to vote. You have ancestors in your not too distant past that never had the right to vote - so exercise yours.
