Amex is not the type of card company that just mails out pre-acceptance letters unless there is good reason to do so. No it’s not a guarantee that you will be accepted however, it is usually a pretty good indicator that you will. 🙂

Best regards.

I have gotten two offers from them via mail within the last month or two. I actually didn’t think that my credit was good enough (it’s a little light. not “bad”) and thinking about getting it if I can. Generally speaking, when you get this kind of mail from them, what are the chances of being accepted or is it a cattle call type of deal with these mail outs?

i’ve never used american express before, do people have good or bad reviews about their service, interest rates and rewards?

I’ve actually have this card for a few years now, back when it gave 5% on gas. There is special promotion out there for 5% until March.

But regarding the cashback, mine is credited every month…are you sure it’s once per year?
